Dear Carol- I am so very sorry to have learned today of your dear Chris' death. I can't imagine all the ways you and your boys will miss him. Please know that you have my sympathy. Your friend, Luanne Krabbe

It has been many years since I’ve seen Chris and Carol (I worked at the state training school). Chris was fun and appropriately strict - knowing just how to engage the boys that was not demeaning yet earned their respect. suffice it to say I was saddened to learn of his passing. Prayers for peace and comfort for Carol and their boys and all who loved him.

Wishing you comfort in this time of sorrow. You are in my thoughts and I love and miss you very much. I’m sending you and your boys a hug, strength and peace for the days to come. Your forever friend, Trisha

The single greatest evidence in favor of telepathy ever in the history of the universe was the connection Chris and me had when we played Pictionary. Anyone who had the misfortune of competing against us would agree. Chris/Holmes was my brother and I'm glad he was.

As part of the IDOC family, we carry your sadness too. You are not alone in the grief. Thank you to Chris and family for his contribution to humanity, in a difficult and very important job.

Dear Carol and boys. My heart goes out to you in the loss of your husband/father. Chris was a great man in my estimation. He was a fine father and loving husband. I know he loved you all very much. He will truly be missed.
