Condolences
To Douglas family, my heart is broken with news of his death. I remember him as being a person who lived each day to the fullest and his love for humanity was a breath of fresh air for everyone who knew him. I remember first meeting Doug in graduate school and he inspired me to pursue a degree in nursing (despite what anyone else thought was best for me). He brought so much joy and happiness into my life. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope you know that he was loved and cared about by many. I hope that he may rest in peace now until forever free from pain and suffering and that he was an amazing person who was loved always by those who knew him. - Sincerely, S

So incredibly saddened to hear of Doug’s passing. I worked with him at Iowa Voc. Rehab in the Des Moines office. Doug’s energy and passion will truly be missed. He always would treat us to special tasty food he enjoyed making for us. He truly had a heart of gold. RIP
