We are deeply saddened to learn of Jim's death late this evening. We will hold Jeanie and the whole family in our prayers during this very difficult time. I will send personal correspondence very soon. Love from our family.

Purvis family: Sorry to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of growing up and playing with the Purvis neighbors down the street. It was great to see Jim and Jeanie a few years ago after sooo many years when they visited Chicago.

We are all going to miss Jim deeply. He meant a lot to the workers at friendship haven. We have all good story to tell about Jim. We are so sad to see him go, but we are all honored to have been able to meet him when we did.
