Dear Joyce, and all. So sorry to hear the news of Joe's passing. He was a good friend to me during my years in Kanawah. He often sought me out, and took me coon huntin'. It was a fine education for a young pastor; I enjoyed his stories, his friendship, and his persistent pleasure in taking me along on those hunts. I loved that 22 colt that he downed many coons with. And I'll always member his great dog, Sal. We still have three beautiful coonskin caps to show for our endeavors. Joe was kind to me, he took me as a friend. Let's remember those simple traits. They make a big difference!
