Mrs. Griffith was my 3rd Grade teacher 1986-1987. I remember once when she overhead me saying the alphabet backwards, so she whisked me off to the principal's office just to showcase my hidden talent! Another time, towards the end of the schoolyear, we had a massive math packet that took several days to complete. I wanted so badly to get all of the answers correct, so I double and triple checked every single one of my answers. My persistence paid off, and I got 100% on the entire assignment!!! (15-20 pgs of math problems). I will never forget Mrs. Griffith's sheer enthusiasm and the huge smile on her face! She was so very proud of me and she didn't hold back in showing it. It may sound silly sharing this now, (especially as a 45 year old woman). But it made such an impact. Incredible teachers like Mrs. Griffith certainly leave their mark... and it's usually in choosing to celebrate the little things. They are never little things to little ones. I pray every child has a at least one "Mrs. Griffith" moment in their lifetime. ❤️

We are sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. Our special memories of Joyce included playing cards with her and Granny. Even though we will not be able to be with you for her funeral, please know that we will be praying for the entire family.

Well our Mothers are exchanging teacher stories and a favorite recipe or two in heaven. I have such fond memories of your Mother. Yes, she was a card shark! A long and rich life doesn't lesson the loss I'm sure you all feel. Treasure your memories! Hugs to you all.
