Obituary
Margaret C. (Nedved) Nelson, 92, of Belmond, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.
Memorial services for Margaret Nelson will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South, in Belmond. Burial will follow at Belmond Cemetery.

Visitation for Margaret Nelson will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, prior to her memorial service, at Ewing Funeral Home in Belmond.
Margaret Christina, the daughter of James and Christina (Wellik) Nedved, was born June 24, 1932, at Duncan, Iowa. Margaret attended country schools and then Hayfield schools.
On May 15, 1951, she was united in marriage to Eugene Nelson at Duncan.
Margaret is survived by her son, Michael (Kim Kinseth) Nelson of Mason City; granddaughters, Roslind (Doug) Gustafson of Harcourt, Riea (Earl) Scearcy of Dougherty, Jessica (Brandon) Tempus of Belmond, London Nelson of Independence, Kylie Nelson of Belmond, and Brittany Corkery of Independence; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Josie, Zeb, Jade, Zadin, Riley, Kaleb, Brayden, Parker, Carson, Olivia, Amelia, Robbie, and Ivy; great great-grandchildren, Mila, Atlis, and Athena; sisters Rose Dornbier and Teresa Leerar; sister-in-law Bev Nedved; daughter-in-law Denise (Dennis) Krull; special friends, Larry and Mary Lohse; along with numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Nelson; her son, Rodney Nelson; her brother, Ray Nedved; and her sister, Evelyn Curtis.
