Nancy Carol, daughter of Marion and Betty (Jorgenson) Engelman, was born on May 13, 1955 in Austin, Minnesota. She grew up in Austin and attended the Catholic school until 8th grade. She graduated from Austin High School in 1973.

Nancy was a hardworking, dedicated woman who would sometimes work many jobs to support her family while still finding time to attend all of her kids’ events. She was their biggest fan. She even managed to find time for her own bowling and softball tournaments as well as watching dirt track racing.

Nancy loved her children very much, but her grandchildren were her world. She loved nothing more than to read to them, play games, watch their tv shows, take them swimming, and snuggle anywhere she could. They were her pride and joy. She never turned down the opportunity to spend time with them.

Hosting family gatherings was one of her favorite things to do, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. From her cozy recliner, she happily watched everyone fill their plates before her, just to make sure everyone got as much as they wanted. After all were full, to-go containers were filled. Nobody went home empty handed from her kitchen.

Nancy also enjoyed watching the Vikings, Cubs, and Spurs with anyone who would sit and watch with her. Sometimes you could hear her cheering down the block. Watching NASCAR when she needed a good nap and waking up just in time for the checkered flag was another favorite pastime of hers. Of course, don’t forget the true crime shows.

Her spitfire personality, humor, and sass were memorable to all who met her. There was never a dull moment with her around. Nancy was truly one of a kind.

Nancy is survived by her children Michael Krebsbach (Tracy Fox) of Paulina, Iowa, Tonia Marino (Joseph) of Littleton, Colorado, Kerry Gunderson (Derek) of Britt, Kelly Gute of Clear Lake, and Cody Wagner (Jamie) of Decorah; grandchildren Cameron, Carter, Autumn, Chaystin, Paige, Avayda, Trislyn, Mallory, Colton, and Elice; siblings Tom Engelman (Wanda), Debbie Smith, and Greg Engelman (Michelle); and numerous nieces, nephews and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marion and Betty Engelman; and brothers David Engelman and Tim Engelman.
