Obituary

Scott Wolff, 69, of Clarion, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Graveside services for Scott Wolff will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion with Pastor Warren Curry officiating.

Scott Alan Wolff was born May 9, 1955, to Albert and Donna (Wampler) Wolff in Clarion, Iowa.  He was raised and educated in Clarion, graduating from Clarion High School with the Class of 1973.

Following high school, Scott began working at PALCO, where he stayed for several years before beginning a 27-year career with Eaton Corporation in Belmond, retiring in 2014.

Scott loved fishing and made numerous trips to Canada over the years for this purpose.  He also enjoyed hunting, attending auctions, antiquing and taking cruises around the countryside.  He was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.  Most of all, he loved spending time with family and attending his grandkids’ events.

Scott sometimes exhibited a tough exterior, but on the inside, he was a teddy bear who loved his family and friends with all his heart.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandra Wolff of Clarion; his daughter, Brandy (Del) Luedtke of Kanawha; step-children, Todd Knipfel of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and Stacy (Kyle) Pike of Conrad, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Jacob (Katie) Luedtke of Ames, Reese Luedtke of Kanawha, Michael Knipfel of Prairie du Chien, Samantha Knipfel of Clarion, Matt (Amanda) Knipfel of Prairie du Chien, Brandon Pike of Eldora, Parker Pike of Conrad, and Paige Pike of Mankato, Minnesota; great-grandchildren Ella Knipfel and Navaeh Knipfel; his mother, Donna Wolff of Clarion; siblings Kelly (Jackie) Wolff of Goldfield and Diane (John) Gilliland of Humboldt; along with numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, and an infant brother, Greg Wolff.
