He moved to Britt, Iowa in 1968 and finished his senior year at Britt Community High School. He worked many years at Iowa Mold Tooling and later, Stellar in Garner, Iowa. He was the primary caretaker for his mom and dad up to and including the time of their deaths. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed working in his little woodworking shop. If you ever went to any craft shows, you probably saw his talents there. He enjoyed baking, cooking, barb-e-cueing, fishing, hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed an occasional visit to casino, card games, going out to lunch, and morning coffee with his good friends.
He was a very faithful servant to God, attending St. Wenceslaus in Duncan until his health started failing. Bill was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Jaycees.
Bill is survived by his sister Judy (Steve) Deetz, his niece, Rachel (Josh) Holthaus and children Riley and Wesley, his nephew, Scott (Sara) Deetz and children Landon, Scottie, Hayden and Haylee. He is also survived by aunts, an uncle, many cousins and friends.
