Obituary


Tommy G. Gretillat, 66, of Kanawha, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at his home in Kanawha.

A Memorial Service for Tommy G. Gretillat will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Ewing Funeral Home, 118 East Second Street in Kanawha with Pastor Kay Brooks officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Ewing Funeral Home, 118 East Second Street in Kanawha.

Tommy Gene Gretillat, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Sturgeon) Gretillant, was born March 24, 1958 in Mason City, Iowa. He was raised in the Klemme area and graduated from Klemme High School.

After high school, Tommy helped farmers around the area and drove truck for Umthun Trucking. He was a million mile trucker. He held various farming related jobs and was a Fireman in Madrid, Iowa. He later attended auctioneer school and worked for Gordy Wiemann before branching out on his own.

He was united in marriage to Bonnie Risius. To this union, two children were born, later the couple divorced.

In his free time, Tommy enjoyed antique tractor pulls and garden tractor pulls with his son Tommy. He was a hard working proud American who loved Trump, his dogs and razzing on his friends.

He will be missed for his smart aleck ways, his quiet caring ways.

Tommy is survived by his son Tommy (Cassandra) Gretillat and their children, Darian Zerbee, Cheyenne Gretillat, Nevaeh Schuller, Aydalee Schuller, Gianni Schuller, Keidrik Davis, Octavia Davis, Anaria Gretillat and Ryder Gretillat; daughter Nicole Gretillat and her children Xavier Moore and Zariah Bennett; sisters Carol (Mike) Snyder and Dianne Cooley; brother Bob (Terri) Gretillat along with many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Granny, parents, and sisters Donna Kaduce and Sandy Iehl.
