Alexander Howard Hilpipre, the son of Todd Hilpipre and Brenda Helgevold, was born October 5, 1992 in Clarion, Iowa. He grew up in the Clarion area and was baptized and confirmed in the Clarion Lutheran Church. He attended Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School District where he wrestled in middle school. While he was in high school, he taught himself how to play guitar and was in a band. He graduated with the class of 2011.
After high school, Alex continued his education at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. He worked various jobs including being a certified forklift driver. He also tiled and surveyed with his dad for many years.
In his free time, Alex loved to be outdoors and enjoyed camping. He was a huge animal lover and recently developed an interest in fish and aquariums. His love for music stayed with him his whole life and he enjoyed researching the unknown. Alex got the most joy from his niece and nephews and truly loved spending time with them.
Alex was a true gem in a pile of rocks and will be greatly missed for his honest heart and respectful ways. He cared for others and would always try to give anything even if he didn’t have anything himself. Alex will continue on in our world through the different perspectives and thoughts he gave others.
Alex is survived by his mother Brenda Helgevold of Fort Dodge; his father Todd (Arria Gonzalez); his sister Katie Chapman and her children Ayden Stepp and Autumn Robb; his brother Jordan Chapman and his son Leo Chapman along with extended family and friends.
He was preceded in maternal grandparents Howard and Arliss Helgevold and paternal grandparents Merle Hilpipre and Jeannie Hemstra.
