Bill Lee, son of Robert and Caroline (Dahlke) Post, was born on June 23, 1930 in Laurens. He grew up in Laurens and graduated from Laurens High School.
On December 27, 1951, Bill was united in marriage to Jolene McKellips in Pocahontas. The couple made their home in Humboldt for a short period of time before moving to Clarion. While residing in Clarion, Bill cut meat in the local grocery store for 26 years before owning and operating his own grocery store, Post’s Clover Farm. After his grocery store closed, he cut meat for the Clarion Super Value store. He later worked for Asgrow, retiring at the age of 79. After Bill’s retirement, Bill and Jolene spent the winters in Arizona.
If Bill wasn’t working, he was in his shop or enjoying the outdoors. He loved building with iron or metal railroad spikes that he would find near the railroad tracks. He enjoyed golfing and gardening. Over the years, Bill collected transistor radios, antique tools, and lighters. He was also a long time member of The Lions Club and spent many years in Toastmasters.
Bill is survived by his wife Jolene Post; four children, Billie Post, Bobbie (Larry) Tillman, Barb Post-Althaus, and Greg (Thresa) Post; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Brett; his parents; two brothers Bob and Fred; and two sons-in-law Steve Lyons and Jim Althaus.
