I couldn’t believe it when a friend of mine sent me the picture of the obituary. It doesn’t seem possible. I’m so sorry for everyone’s loss, but most importantly my heart and prayers go out to Corey’s family. Corey was an amazing guy that could light up the room with his smile and guitar. There was a period in my life when I’d see Corey every day. Some of the best times had Corey next to me. Corey was kind and didn’t judge or disrespect anyone. He was a humble man. He loved his family and he loved his friends. Rest in peace my friend, the world is gonna miss ya! 🎸

I'm so sorry to hear this. We met when we were both very young, connected by music. I still have a 4 track of a song we wrote and recorded somewhere. We spent hours playing guitar and writing together. Such great memories from my youth. There was a special brand of kindness behind those eyes. Rest easy friend, see you in the other side.
