Condolences
My sincere condolences to the Speirs family. I was fortunate to have worked with Corey during our time at Dekalb/Monsanto. His quick wit, positive attitude and daily humor always made the day's work a little shorter and more enjoyable. God Bless Corey.

Dear Donna & Bill, Susie told me about your loss of Corey and I wanted to tell you I am so sorry. We are having a dog show and fund raiser next week at our summer RV resort in OR for the local animal shelter. I will think of you and Corey.

We are deeply sorry and our hearts are saddened about passing away of Corey. Having Corey as leader has been exceptionally impactful on Romanian team. Corey's natural ability to lead and inspire others was truly impressive. His leadership skills have played a pivotal role in motivating our team's success during the development of the corn plant in Romania. We started with a hand full of people and slowly grew considerably as the largest processing corn plant in Europe. Corey was someone that is inspiring is exciting and makes you feel strongly interested and enthusiastic. We built a great friendship during his period in Romania and kept in touch with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Cristian Bunescu and Misu Vasile

Corey and I were peers at DEKALB and soon after Monsanto in the 90’s and beyond. He was great to work with and an awesome person. He was one of those guys who never met a stranger. RIP Corey

I first got to know Corey when he was working in a DEKALB corn plant in Kearney, Nebraska and I was a Sales Rep in Illinois. He jumped through red tape to deliver an exceptional customer experience, saving us days on a delivery that allowed us to keep a key customer. About one year later, I was asked to join a leadership team in St. Louis, and one of my peers was...Corey Speirs. We built a great friendship over the next 10 years working together, sharing many laughs, and sometimes tears as we looked at our golf scores. No matter who you were, Corey was always a friend. He cared about everyone. Post Monsanto, Corey always made it a point to check-in and see how everyone was getting along, and he was always asking about career, kids, and even extended families. There's a saying "Our friends become our chosen family", that says it all about Corey. He soldiered through this disease that took him from us, never sharing the gravity of the situation, but always showing care for others and never allowing himself to be a burden upon us. Though his time on Earth has passed, he made an impact on everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Friend! - Dennis, Kathy, Taylor & Trevor Storm

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Corey Speirs. Corey was not only an exceptional manager during his tenure as Country Lead at Monsanto Romania, where he managed to build not only the best team in Europe but also a wonderful family. He was also a mentor and a friend to many people here in Romania. His leadership, dedication, and kindness left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working with him and the privilege of being his friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. Sincerely, Virgil Popescu
