Condolences
I was a student of Mr. Obrect from 1973-1975 at Lake Park High School. I attended four high schools, but my band experience at LPHS was top notch. I learned so much from Mr. Obrecht. I had to move in the middle of my senior year to Texas. Because of transfer glitches, I was able to graduate at from Lake Park. When I arrived in June a few days before graduation, I visited band and Mr. Obrecht invited me to join them in the Memorial Day Parade. I was provided with a uniform and a piccolo and joined "my band" for my last high school parade. That meant so much to me. Always fond memories of Mr. Obrecht.

Why did I search him today? Most admired Teacher I had at LPHS. Always a dry sense of humor but always a pleasure to work with even Post graduation. Dedicated to excellence across the board. Gone about a year now but has entered my memories thousands of times in the past 45 plus years. Rest in peace, We'll Jam in the afterlife, save me a spot in the hornline!
