Obituary
Deborah Freeman, 71, of Clarion, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 608 2nd Avenue Northeast in Clarion.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion. A Rosary and Scriptural Vigil service will begin at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Deborah Ann, daughter of William and Shirley (Barrett) Freeman, was born on October 12, 1953. Deb grew up in Clarion and graduated from Clarion High School. She dedicated much of her working career to serving others as a phone operator at Iowa Specialty Hospital, where she worked until her retirement in 2024. After retiring, she moved to the Meadows.
Deb will be remembered for her unwavering kindness towards others. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Her faith guided her daily life, and Deb was always the first to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word to those in need.
Deb is survived by her sister Roxy (Steve) Gadzicki of Peachtree City, Georgia; brother Joe Freeman of Peachtree City, Georgia; step-mother Rose Freeman; niece Jana (Brian) Gosdin and their children Jax and Jake; nephew Jason (Michelle) Schulz and the son Mason; long time companion Mike Roberts; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Shirley Freeman; and sister Jonie in 1998.
