I have many memories of Derek , growing as a little girl until the age of 5 or 6 yrs old we lived in a house right across from him. I went to the same school as he did, he was a very friendly guy, who got along with everyone. Mandy and the rest of his family have my prayers and thoughts during this difficult time in their lives.

I grew up with Derek and knew him as a classmate since that age of 7. He was a good teammate and tried his best at sports from what I knew of him. He was engaged, witty and supportive of those around him. I got to see his handiwork on our farm when he was hired by my dad to troubleshoot an electrical problem that had stumped him but not Derek! :)

Remembering the two amegos Kerry and Derick in my shop class. They could definitely be naughty but I loved having them in class. I always felt respected even when Derick lost it and was going to kill that little Hill guy. Remember it took Kerry and I to hold him back. Don’t even know what it was about but was the only time I saw Derick mad. Usually he had that I am up to something grin on his face!
