Still fondly think of George, have many pictures of him visiting and even some of his army shots with my dad, who is now deceased.

You omitted many survivors. We are the Van den Heuvel family of California: Lona Van den Heuvel-- sister-in-law; Robert Van den Heuvel--nephew; Lorena Van den Heuvel -- Robert's wife. Also omitted were George Van den Heuvel, Jr. --the only living son and first-born child of George's. Also omitted were Vivienne Bartholet of Brussels, Belgiium, George's half-sister.

I am Lona Van den Heuvel, George's sister-in-law and his brother Raymond's wife. George was an outstanding person whom we loved dearly..He will be missed.

so sorry for the families loss of a wonderful man. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. His wisdom on so many things and his humor. I learned so much from him. He loved Shirlene so much and they were beautiful together. Hugs to all of you and cherish the memories of those two together ❤️.

While we had not seen each other for many years, I always considered George to be my friend and enjoyed the times we did spend together. I especially enjoyed his accent.
