Sharron Hauge

Sharron Hauge, 79, of Belmond, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond, with Pastor Katie Pals officiating. Burial will be in the Belmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Friday.

Sharron Rae, daughter of John and Mabel (Kelley) Robertson, was born on October 14, 1946, in Belmond. Sharron grew up in Belmond and graduated from Belmond High School. After high school, Sharron attended La James Cosmetology College in Mason City.

While living in Mason City, Sharron met the love of her life, Jerry Hauge. They were married on June 19, 1965, and made their home in Belmond. Sharron opened her own beauty shop and did hair for over 50 years. She also did residents hair at the care center in Belmond for 40 years.

Sharron and Jerry were inseparable—where Jerry went, Sharron was always by his side. They cherished their Saturday morning breakfasts together and their many casino trips.

After Jerry’s passing, Sharron continued to find joy in traveling, especially on trips to Branson and, of course, the casino with her daughter. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharron also loved being with her “posse,” enjoying dinners out, cribbage games, and sightseeing adventures around the area.

Sharron is survived by her children Kathy Hauge, Todd (Heather) Hauge, Robin (Ray) Schmidt (Ray), Rodney (Laura) Hauge; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Kim Robertson; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry in 2021; parents; and brother and sisters.
