Trent A. Rosendahl, 48, of Belmond, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A Celebration of Trent's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond, with Pastor Katie Pals officiating.  Those in attendance are asked to bring a beverage for themselves and a potluck dish to share following the Celebration at 7:00.

Trent Allen Rosendahl was born November 25th, 1975, to Ernest and Patricia (Caughey) Rosendahl in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was raised and attended school in Otho, Iowa, until he reached high school where he attended Fort Dodge High School. Trent graduated from Fort Dodge High School Class of 1994. While in high school and for a time after high school Trent worked on cars with Jimmy Beekman in Otho.

Trent worked a variety of jobs over the years including Electrolux in Webster City, where he met his future wife Amber Nelson on Valentines Day 2002. They were married on November 15th, 2003, at Kalo Community Church. They made their home in Fort Dodge where they were blessed with children Benjamin, Alexandrea, James, Anthony, and Jack.

Trent and family moved to Belmond, Iowa in November 2009. He began working in construction shortly after moving. He later worked for Eaton, Hawkeye Pride in Corwith, Iowa and NEW Coop in Dows, Iowa. Due to numerous health issues, he was unable to work recently.

Trent loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed spending summer months riding motorcycles with his wife and many friends. He was known for his keen sense of humor, sarcasm, and wit that only those close to him truly understood. He was the biggest loveable a-hole that would give you the shirt off his back. Trent was known to close family and friend for his “Trentified’' recipes. He also loved playing carbles, trying new restaurants, telling stories, gossiping, and laughing.

Trent was especially fond of his mother-in-law and enjoyed helping care for her in her late years. He always enjoyed helping others. Trent was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Belmond. He was passionate about helping with the church's mobile food pantry.

Trent is survived by his wife, Amber Rosendahl, their children, Benjamin Rhyan Rosendahl, Alexandrea Ranae Rosendahl, James Riley Rosendahl, and Anthony Ray Rosendahl; his twin sister, Tanya Rosendahl, and sister, Brenda Rosendahl. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Trent was preceded in death by his son, Jack Rowan Rosendahl, his parents, and a sister, Darla Rosendahl.

In lieu of flowers and other customary remembrances, Trent's family suggests that memorial donations be left to his family in order to offset medical and funeral expenses.
